And it will be abandoned in what, 5 years tops? I mean just look at the state of Android tablets and WearOS, going nowhere with zero vision.

I hope they are also working on AR. I'd love to have something like the Google Glass again.

I don't need VR. I care more about augmenting my reality than replacing it.

Like, I don't wanna sound childish, but it would be really cool to see those futuristic HUD effects, especially if it actually provides meaningful information like object identification and map navigation.

neostarx, 14 hours agoomg im so excited!!! i hope that their XR device is a bit affordable though because the vision... moreWhat about regular Quest 3? It is much better than 3s.

But i doubt these Android XR devices will be cheap because Meta is selling cheaper headsets and glasses because they got money from the their own store.

Basically Meta is using console approarch.

So will Meta use this version of Android for Quest?
Since they all run regular Android anyways.

Android OS is truly living in the future,

meanwhile Harmony OS is still trying to surpass the popularity of Blackberry OS or Symbian.

I could say, Harmony OS is the best OS only if you are using it in 2008.
