      😂 lol, the nothing os 2.6 has this feature even it allows you to choose between 3 options, 70,80 and 90. My 15k cmf phone has this feature.

Changing t... moreSo you're happy paying for a device and not using all of it ... why charge to 80%?, maybe they should make a phones that at 100%, they're technically only 80% of the battery to bypass this?.

        I just don't understand spending money on something and not using what you pay for.

          Smallworld, 10 hours agoOther brands have had these simple features for years. Once again Google is late. People were praising them but the Pixel 8 was released more than a year ago. So they shafted their users, who couldn't use the built-in feature since launch, for 14 months lol.

If they avoid designing it like the LG G8 that JerryRig had to flood with solvents to pry off the battery, then it will pass the qualifications even if it is sealed.

            On the other hand, Xcover8 Pro is coming out next year.

But because of poor signal in usa had to buy a new phone here. Bought S24+ superb phone. Gave my A52 to my aunt still works. Next will wait for S27+ or even later.

                      Maybe i'll buy one in 2027 when EU forces manufacturers to have easly replaced batteries again.

You paid en... moreBecause 80% still comfortably gets me through the day and new batteries arent free. Changing them yourself requires tools and doesn't guarantee that the phone will still be waterproof and giving a phone to a repair shop requires time.

                            battery manufacturers already compensate for this, really don't need any more nonsense, the battery should be labeled according to how much power it delivers

                              Rizi, 17 hours agoSamsung already given in Android 14. I am using A24 and very useful featureSamsung has it with s10 lineup on android 12, you can limit to 85%.

                                      Anonymous, 17 hours agoI know that 100% actually means a bit less than 100% but it’s still close enough to be damagin... more>But laptops that are used like a desktop by being always plugged in at 100% have a much higher chance of the battery bloating and degradation.

                                      You prolly never owned a thinkpad or legion laptop. Or even if you did, you never utilized their Charge Threshold and/or Conservation Mode built-in each respective models.

You paid en... moreI'll just have fun watching them run out of batteries at the most unfortunate time and make them plug their phone into their powerbanks. I'm surprised there are people that live like that. I hope they don't juggle their phone storage and tws buds charge levels as well.
